This is a special Art Journal created for the 100 themes Challenge at Digital Whisper. We have been given 100 different themes to inspire and create digital collage art over the course of a year. All of my art is created in Photoshop Elements 7 and is made using personal photos, stock photos, copyfree and digital kit imagery. All sources will be noted in the post. Sacred Play




This is my entry for the Digital Whisper 100 themes challenge #48 "Childhood". This beautiful vintage photo from Magic Moonlight Free imagery  just touched my heartstrings when I think about how special my dolls were to me in my childhood. From  my "Thumbelina" baby doll , Raggedy Ann and later on to Barbie, Ken, Skipper and Scooter and even my assorted Troll dolls all gave me a sense of comfort and sacred play. Other added lace imagery from Scrapbookfraphics.

    Oh my gosh..beautiful..and so cool... but aaaall the dolls you metiton i had them all too..I got Thumbelina one year for x-mas and it was awesome..what wonderful memories of childhood you have conjured for me! This is a beautiful piece Lori...EXQUISITE JOY and etheral beuaty...and ghostly enchanting!

    Wow you have such a nice imagination on paper and writings. I have pens but they leak through.

    I have fine ink pen but it still leakes through. Mine is

    fine point permanent marker. I thought it would not do that.

    This is sweet. Yes we all had dolls. My niece was a doll collector and just now being 50 odd years.

    She gave a couple to her Granddaughter.
